What a ranked result looks like

Every Caribbean trip, scored for your family.

Expedia and Booking make you pick a destination first. We rank a flight + hotel package across 900+ family resorts in 34 countries and tell you the trade-off in dollars, travel time, and family-fit. Here's what a single result card looks like — every fact below is what KindredTrips actually shows you, not a marketing claim.

  • Total trip cost always shows flights + hotel together for your exact party — no nightly-rate guesswork.
  • Travel distance is part of the rank — we show total flight time and stops, and favor shorter, more direct routes so less of the trip is spent getting there.
  • Family-fit facts (on-the-beach, kids club, room sleeps, infants accepted) are sourced from partner data — each chip only appears when the underlying field is confirmed for that resort, not inferred from marketing text.

What's different

We compare across destinations, so you don't have to.

Every other vacation tool makes you pick the destination first, then optimize within it. We do the opposite: tell us your constraints, we'll tell you which Caribbean destination, resort, and flight combo wins.

Cross-destination search for Caribbean family vacations

One ranked list comparing a week of family-friendly Punta Cana against family resorts in Aruba, Turks & Caicos, the Bahamas, Jamaica — and 30 other Caribbean countries. Not 35 separate searches.

Family filters the big OTAs don't have

Kids club minimum age. On the beach. Accepts infants. Lazy river. Waterpark for little kids. The details that decide whether an all-inclusive Caribbean resort actually works for your kids — surfaced, not buried six clicks deep.

Total trip cost, ranked

Every result is flight + hotel for your exact family — 2 adults, 3 kids, your dates — ranked together. We tell you when prices are estimates, and route you to live rates when you click through.

Why this matters for families

The four decisions that actually move the needle.

Most travel sites optimize for one decision at a time. Families are juggling four — and getting any of them wrong turns the trip. Here's how KindredTrips handles each one, with real examples.

Kids club minimum age

A 3-year-old at a "kids club 4+" resort means a babysitter.

Every resort says "kids club" but the floor age varies wildly. Iberostar Selection Bávaro accepts age 4; Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana accepts age 3; some 5★ properties don't take under 6. We pull the exact minimum age and surface it on the card.

Family-of-5 room occupancy

"Sleeps 4" + a kid on the floor = two rooms or a different resort.

Most Caribbean resorts cap a standard room at 4 occupants. A family of 5 needs a suite or a villa — usually 40-70% more. We pre-filter resorts to those that have a single room your family actually fits in, and tell you which configuration matches.

Direct flight vs. connection

A connection with a 2-year-old can cost more than $300 in stress.

Booking shows hotels first; flights are an afterthought. We score flight ease as part of the rank — direct flights surface near the top automatically for families with little kids. A direct BNA → PUJ beats a connection BNA → AUA → BGI even when the second one looks cheaper on paper.

See only direct flights from your airport →

Total trip cost, including flights

A $250/night Aruba resort is not cheaper than a $320/night Punta Cana one.

$1,400 in connecting flights flips the math. We always show flight + hotel together for your exact party size and dates — never a misleading per-night nightly rate. That single change is the reason "the cheapest hotel" and "the cheapest trip" rarely agree.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

How is KindredTrips different from Booking.com or Expedia?

Booking and Expedia make you pick a Caribbean destination first, then optimize hotels and flights within that destination. KindredTrips works the opposite way: tell us your constraints (origin, dates, kids' ages, budget, must-haves) and we compare every flight + hotel combination across all 34 Caribbean destinations and 79 airports — ranked by total trip cost. We also have family-specific filters those sites don't have, like kids-club minimum age.

Do you actually book the trip?

No. KindredTrips finds and ranks trips, but the actual booking happens on a trusted partner site like Booking.com or airline sites. The price you see and the price you pay are identical — we don't add fees. We earn a small affiliate commission when you book through our recommendations, which is how the site is free for users.

What Caribbean countries does KindredTrips cover?

All 34 Caribbean and Caribbean-adjacent destinations, including Mexico, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Jamaica, Aruba, Turks and Caicos, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Curacao, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, and Brazil's northeast coast.

Can I filter Caribbean resorts for young kids or infants?

Yes. KindredTrips offers filters for kids-club minimum age (some resorts accept children as young as 3), accepts-infants under 12 months, family room maximum occupancy, on-the-beach, lazy river, waterpark for little kids, and more. These are the details that determine whether a resort works for a family with young children.

Are KindredTrips prices live or estimates?

KindredTrips only shows live partner rates — flight prices from real carriers and hotel rates from booking partners. When the search is still warming up, those rows render a "finding live prices…" placeholder instead of a number. Prices on screen are bookable; the partner site shows the same fare when you click through.

Or start with a destination

If you already know where you want to go.

Click any country to filter your search to that destination. But this isn't how we'd recommend using KindredTrips — searching everything at once is the point.
